Frequently Asked Questions
How do you structure your pricing?
SafeSchools pricing is based on the number of employees that will be participating in the training. Most of our customers implement district wide, in which case we charge a certain price per FTE (full-time employee). The price per employee depends on the size of the district and on how many courses will be used.

What about substitutes and para-professionals?
With a district-wide implementation, substitutes and para-professionals can be trained on the SafeSchools system at no additional charge.

Are there additional costs to have a SafeSchools representative come out and train us how to use the system?
Never. A lot of our business stems from word-of-mouth marketing, so it is extremely important to us that our customers experience successful implementations. (It also helps that SafeSchools is very easy to use!)

Not all of my employees are comfortable with computers or getting online. What can I do about them?
SafeSchools is an appropriate training tool for individual or group settings, so this is never a problem. When training is conducted in a group setting, it’s very easy to go in and give credit to the employees who were in attendance.

If I start to take a course and then need to leave, will I have to start from the beginning when I log back in?
That would not be very nice of us now, would it? You can start from school, leave in the middle of a course, and pick up from where you left off when you get home. Everything is bookmarked, so you don’t have to worry about losing your work.

We have training content and safety policies that we’ve developed specifically for our district. Is there any way to get those materials into the SafeSchools environment?
Yes! Even better, we can typically do this without any additional costs. However, if your policy is 100 pages long and you want us to add a voiceover and custom illustrations, we'll probably need to charge you a little!

What happens if we sign up, and then decide to end our subscription – will we be able to get our training data?
Do we really seem like the kind of company that would hold your training data hostage? Honestly, we are offended that you would frequently ask this question.

What happens if my employees have a question while they're taking the training? This is important for courses like Bloodborne Pathogens.
Great question. Every course can be assigned an instructor and a coordinator. If an employee has a question while taking a course, they can click the instructor button, which will provide them with the appropriate contact information. This is compliant with OSHA standards, and we have the letter of interpretation to prove it!

Does your program create a certificate of completion?
Each course, upon completion, will generate a personalized certificate of completion for the user. This can be printed at any time by the user or by the SafeSchools administrator.

Can my teaching staff earn professional development credit?
A lot of our customers are able to bundle some of our courses together and offer their teaching staff credit for professional development and/or continuing education. This is win-win situation, and has proven to be a successful implementation strategy.
