Pennsylvania Training Courses
This course is Part 2 of Pennsylvania’s ACT 126 mandatory training for school employees. The training focuses on the following topics: a brief review of Act 126 basics, including Mandatory Reporting; the Pennsylvania Professional Educator Discipline Act (PEDA); and maintaining appropriate boundaries between students and school employees (Boundary Invasion.)
Wendy Armstrong is an attorney licensed to practice in Ohio and California. She received a BA in Psychology from Miami University, a MA in Psychology from Boston University, and a JD from Chase College of Law. Wendy worked for the Hamilton County Court of Domestic Relations (in Cincinnati, OH) as a Family Counselor; she worked for Kaufman and Young Law Firm in Beverly Hills, CA; and is now in private practice. She has authored school-based training on Child Abuse, Intimate Partner Violence, the Clery and Save Acts and others.
Dr. Robert J. Shoop, educational law expert at Kansas State University, is nationally recognized as a forensic expert in the area of school law, with a focus on sexual harassment, abuse prevention and risk management. He has appeared as a guest on CNN, the Today Show, 20/20, and MSNBC, among many other programs. Shoop is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for Educator’s Guide to Controlling Sexual Harassment and has served as a forensic expert witness in more than 45 court cases. He is the author or co-author of 16 books.
