The goal of this course is to provide school bus drivers with basic techniques for safe securement during transportation of students with special needs. Topics covered include guidelines for safe securement of students, guidelines for drivers and attendants; safety, and different types of child safety restraint systems.

Ted Finlayson-Schueler
Ted Finlayson-Schueler is the founder of Safety Rules! which is dedicated to safe travel for children to and from school and school activities. Ted also founded the Pupil Transportation Safety Institute (PTSI) in Syracuse, New York in 1990 and served as its Executive Director until 2004. During the 10 years from 1994 to 2004, Ted grew PTSI into a national organization serving the pupil transportation community.
