This course is designed to instill staff with a basic awareness and understanding of discrimination. which can help you avoid discriminatory behaviors as well as build a culture that reflects acceptance and respect for all. This course covers the definition of discrimination and harassment, how to avoid discrimination and harassment, and doing your part to promote a discrimination-free environment.

Tammy L. Hodo, PhD
Tammy Hodo is a visiting assistant sociology professor at the University of North Florida where she teaches courses on racial and ethnic minorities, as well as sociology and research methods. She uses critical race theory as the framework for her research. Her teaching and research focus on the experiences of minorities in academia – both faculty and students – specifically at predominantly white institutions.
